no way shes good but dude is singing opera for one which is hard as hell 2 notice he didnt have much of a confidence thng going on so he and her are matched but paul was way better she sung little songs hes singing songs that have made histtory which made this even harder

ugh i didnt like him. seriously connie was amazing and no one appreciates her age for a singer. imagine being 6 and having to sing infront of everyone adn not just that, sounding AMAZING!!!! i mean, paul is good but not as entertaining as connie for sure.

97 aurora-hi u r right-he cancelled 2 many times when he came down with ill health-sadly he didn't handle his weight gain very well-a problem with tenors-nice thing about paul potts is he has help make people listen to a great voice as did mario lanza and the 3tenors-pavarotti once said a opera singer is like a high wire walker-one mistake and its over-when[not often]he missed a note he was booed and he expected it-ck mario lanza on you tube he sang opera and love songs-compare paul to him not p

MaSh, He wasn't professional because he volunteered. One reviewer noted him for his "high octane passion." Otherwise, the tapes that he sent out were met with silence. Man! Those would fetch a fair price at auction now! Great fund-raiser for a struggling opera house! LOL!

leesgas, Actually, there was a venue that did not want Pavarotti any more: Chicago. Banned him. Due to his poor attendance record. Not so with PAUL!

Don't make me laugh either MaSh619. Paul only did amatuer singing before this show, and he hasn't had the training of opera singers. Something about Pauls voice I cannot put my finger on, one opera singer said Pauls voice has a healing quality. I have seen Pavarotti and Paul in concert, and Paul did it for me. Paul is causing alot of jealousy with the unrecognized opera singers. People cannot tell other people who they should and shouldn't like.

pavarotti the greatest opera singer ever!ck his album there wasn't a opera house that didn't want him-have u ever listened to the 3 tenors or seen him in person as i was lucky too-even not being a opera fan u would have to marvel at his beautiful voice-paul is a raw talent with a strong nice voice lets see what time can bring him-don't forget on the opera stage they must sing without a mike and remember a complete role! mario lanza inspired the 3tenors find movie or cd and u will hear why!

Comparing him to Pavarotti is just ignorance. Pavarotti is probably just your only reference as he is the most famous and I bet most of you couldn't even identify it from just hearing it. Also, if you listen to Pavarotti or any of the world's best tenors you'll notice a clear difference. And there are harder pieces than Nessun Dorma. That said, Paul is awesome and it's warming to see a random guy become famous for something admirable.
