iphone is not that great. the programs on that phone is really a waste. i bet that the next generation ipods will be a smaller version of the iphone/touch, which could be a cool idea.

How come no one is mentioning the fact that the $199 price for the iPhone is for new customers only existing AT&T customers have to pay $399 & $499 for the new models.

if you want the best phone of all, get an LG Voyager. It does everything the iphone does (including touchsreen) Also, if you are a texter, you can flip out a full qwerty keyboard and it has a screen on the same side as the keyboard.

IF you are AT&T but your contract has run out you can sign a NEW contract 2 year agreement and get the $199 or $299 prices. This will also allow you do keep your number. If you are still under contract and sign a NEW contract for the iphone you will get a new number. So if you are under contract but want to keep your number you will have to pay the higher prices

I found that out yesterday It sucks but 2day I went to my local AT&T store and they said I can get it for $199 if I start a new line on my family plan which is gonna wrk out great cuz my lil sis has been wantin a phone so shes gonna get my cousins RAZR. So hopefully it wrks out. I'll let yal knw.

The actual price of the 3G iPhone is $399 for current customers. AT&T is actually penalizing current customers a whopping $200 if you are in the middle of your contract and are not "upgrade eligible." When Steve Jobs made the announcement with the large $199 on the screen behind him, 1 major thing was missing... the missing asterisk!
